Talk through your numbersHow to use it
The break-even cost per lead is the most important number in local marketing. If your ads or SEO bring leads below it, scale up. If they cost more, fix the campaign, the website or the follow-up before spending more.
Where do I find my close rate?
Count last month’s calls and form requests, then how many became paying customers. Ten customers from 40 leads is a 25% close rate. If you do not track leads yet, start now; it is the first thing we set up for clients.
What cost per lead should I expect?
It varies widely by industry and city. Home-service leads in Dallas–Fort Worth often cost far more than retail or restaurant leads. Your own Google Ads account is the best source; we can estimate it for your market.
Why include repeat purchases?
A customer who comes back every year is worth several sales, not one. Including repeat business shows what you can really afford to pay to win a customer.
